As the snow melts, we are beginning to see signs of spring. If you can reach, you can begin to cut back your butterfly bushes. Buddleia davidii should be cut down to between 12-18". Dwarf varieties which only grow 1-2 ft, only need a slight trim. Now is the time to remove any broken or dead branches as well.
