Time to plant cold crop vegetables. Lettuce, spinach, beets, collards, broccoli, and cabbage, are all great crops for the fall and will withstand a little chill!
If you have lots of yellow squash, wash and shred using a grater and freeze for garden fresh squash all winter!
Mums will last longer when planted in the garden. Be sure to water the base of the plant and avoid spraying the foliage.
